Operations and Shipping Runner - Cassling
Successful candidates must reside in Omaha, NE or the surrounding area.As an Operations and Shipping Runner for Cassling, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and organization of the shipping and receiving area, storage room, related logistics, and provide fleet and facilities assistance. You will improve business and operating results through the facilitation of operations and shipping procedures and have a direct impact on providing world-class customer service to internal and external customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assist Returns Coordinator with receiving and shipping packages daily. Monitor shipping/receiving area for deliveries. Manage all personal/non-business FedEx shipping and post office services for employees, serving as back up for company post office services. Travel up to 4 hours one-way to various locations to deliver and/or retrieve parts for Field Service Engineers using a company vehicle or company box truck. Maintain shipping and receiving area cleanliness and organization, electronic recycling, monitor access to the shipping and receiving office, and ensure timely retrieval of items for requested shipments. Assist Fleet Manager with the coordination of maintenance for company vehicles, including taking in company vehicles for repairs, car washes, etc. Provide assistance to all teams with conference room setup and other ad hoc operational tasks as needed. Exhibit ethical, objective business relationships with vendors or other representatives, such that the best interests of Cassling and its customers are maintained. As an integral part of all Cassling business functions, interacts with employees, customers, and vendors as part of a team to assist with and facilitate the delivery of quality service and helps to create a work environment conducive to solving problems. What We’re Looking for in a Candidate
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Commercial driving experience preferred. One to two years shipping and receiving experience preferred. Customer service background a plus. A proactive team player who is dependable and cooperative. Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to work with minimal supervision. Maintain strict confidentiality. Pay attention to detail and follow through. Work under pressure and meet deadlines in an environment that demands the flexibility required to meet the needs of many different individuals. Interact competently with customers, co-workers, and management. Work in an environment where priorities change rapidly. Multi-task and resolve problems or difficulties routinely. Promote teamwork among Cassling personnel. Work in a shipping and receiving environment. Maintain knowledge to operate a pallet mover. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Walk, stand and drive for extended periods of time. Sit, talk, see, finger/grasp, hear, configure tables and chairs in meeting rooms. Utilize rolling carts, a pallet lift and a pallet mover. Must be willing to have a DOT physical and receive a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate. Lift 65 pounds and climb ladders. Occasionally drive a box truck up to 8 hours round trip.
