Description
Candidates will work in a 3rd party food testing company. The Operations Assistant role is the first step to the process. These individuals are focused specifically on front-end operations regarding package receipt, general sample handling techniques, project sorting (triage activities), etc. Candidate will do the following:
Triage- work with a conveyor system to open boxes and confirm what is on invoice is accurate from what is in the box. If not, troubleshoot the issue. Not enough samples? Not the right samples? Container broken? This communication will need to be followed up by a CSR to the client.
Sort samples- after samples have been triaged, they are moved to Sample entry to get entered into their database. Will need to organize samples by priority.
After Sample Entry enters samples, Operations Assistant will move samples to the right location (either Sample Prep to get down to a liquid/powder form or directly to the lab freezers).
Paperwork- will be scanning samples into their database
Will help with labeling samples and may make labels too
Candidates will be standing majority of the day (90%+). Candidates also have to be flexible to average 5 hours of overtime/week based on workload.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
