CHMC-Operations Assistant – Full Time-Evening Shift- 3p-11p– Req 8290
Pay Range $24.88-$39.81*
The Operations Assistant maintains a close working relationship with executive personnel, department managers, and clinical leaders. Ensures the efficient operation of the Operations Center while supporting the Operations Specialist. Must be an organized self-starter. The Operations assistant should possess knowledge of hospital internal operations, ability to record/maintain accurate meeting minutes, forward and distribute mail as required, and prepare and maintain relevant documents. May need to travel to multiple facilities.
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Assists and provides clerical support for the Hospital Operations Center.
Acting as third-in-command to the Operations Specialist and being responsible for all duties in their absence assisting the Operation Specialist with operational issues.
Make decisions using personal judgment and carry them out in a tactful manner.
Possesses technical and operational knowledge and skill in regard to the functioning of the Operations Center.
Communicates with a large number of technical and professional personnel.
Complies with established policies and procedures for office functions and release of information.
Ensures office equipment is cleaned and maintained and supplies are ordered on a scheduled and regular basis.
Develops agendas, manages and circulates mail, keeps accurate mailing lists, maintains appointment calendars, conducts research, manages office file systems, arranges and coordinates meetings, and drafts minutes.
Assist with Call out procedures, updating logs as needed.
Performs all other duties and responsibilities including assignment to special projects and delegated by the supervisor. Other projects may include organizing various special hospital initiatives.
Prior office management experience is preferred and will be prioritized in interviewing.
Good judgment and discretion for dealing with public.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Dispatch experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent
