This position is a temporary, less than half-time role (14 hours per week) starting January 2, 2025 and ending May 18, 2025. During Fall/Winter, this role is scheduled for 14 hours per week (less than half-time, non-benefits eligible) and will transition to full-time, 35 hours per week, as a temporary role (non-benefits eligible) from February 19, 2025 to May 18, 2025. Please note, due to the Universities policies on temporary and less than half-time appointments, once the temporary appointment ends on May 18th, 2025, you may not be hired as a temp or less than half-time again at the University within less than 8 months.
Job Description:
Operations include the assistance of the overall administration of the softball program. Ability to catch bullpens, throw front toss, pitch batting practice, hit fungo, etc. Management of facilities (softball field, hitting pavilion, softball locker room, softball offices) Travel management coordination which may include booking and confirmation of hotels, ground transportation, itinerary organization, and meals for all home and away contests. The supplementary duties of this job entail recruit data entry, video, equipment, and Alumnae communication and coordination. Recruit data entry includes learning and managing the recruiting database of ARMs, coordinate with camp website on registration/issues for all camps, and assist coaches with recruitment travel plans. Assist marketing, communications, and video support staff with program promotional activities. The candidate will assist in video recording of practices, scrimmages, and in-season games. Equipment duties may include apparel and equipment inventory and coordination for the repair and replacement of practice equipment. Some Alumnae communication may include database update, the development of an electronic newsletter; communication, and assisting with events. Other responsibilities may include banquet organization, senior day festivities, and online auction assistance.
