Operations Associate, Communications

The Snap communications team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to Snapchatters, creators, developers, investors, advertisers, policymakers, families and our own team members.  We work to ensure the narrative about the company is accurate and compelling. We share our innovation story through new products, partnerships, features and platform policies. 

The global Snap communications team operates out of key hubs in Santa Monica, London and Singapore and in key markets across the world including the UK, France, Germany, Nordics, Netherlands, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore and Australia. 

We’re looking for an Operations Associate to join the team in Santa Monica, CA.

What you will do: 

Support the global comms team in its work to operate a kind, smart and creative function

Work on global fiscal budget planning in partnership with comms team leadership 

Lead ongoing budget management, working closely with Snap finance. overseeing purchase orders, invoicing, and quarterly reports

Manage and own team organizational documents, such as roles and responsibility charts,  meeting agendas, follow ups, as well as various strategy & project timelines

Manage the onboarding process for new agencies, including confirming SOW, finalizing contracts, and liaising with Snap legal as needed

Maintain team media subscriptions, third party agreements and logins 

Research, assess and implement new tools and technology to drive greater team efficiency

Identify best practices and proactively propose solutions for process improvements

Project manage logistics for owned events, press events and press trips liaising with internal functions or third party suppliers to finalize arrangements and reconcile budget

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail

Team player, enthusiastic and self-motivated

Experience with budget management and planning 

Knowledge of the craft of communications, marketing and public affairs

Innovative, creative and constantly looking for ways to improve and optimize process

Ability to work cross-functionally in a global organization juggling multiple time zones in a timely manner  

Experience navigating complex projects and organizations

Minimum qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a relevant admin role, preferably on a communications or marketing team 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $94,000-$141,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$134,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
