Your Opportunity
As an Operations Associate you will experience the key fundamentals that make a plant run efficiently and successfully. Areas ofexposure include but are not limited to manufacturing, food safety and quality assurance, continuous improvement,environmental safety and much more. Operations Associates gain a deep understanding of our operations through hands-onexperience working with the team on the production line. This position functions under the supervision of the appropriatedepartment leader while performing all duties and responsibilities as a learning/development process.

Core Responsibilities

Learns, demonstrates capability/knowledge and becomes trained/certified in the different areas including fulfilling all therequirements and responsibilities listed under the General Production job description.

Performs and masters the hourly jobs under supervision. Becomes certified in each job after showing competence andskill/understanding in each.

Ensure that sanitation standards are met daily as well as product specifications and quality index are met.

Follow sanitations, USDA standards, and scientific and company protocols to collect, prepare, analyze, and properly storemeat samples to maintain product quality and customer service standards.

Assist professionals by compiling test results, measuring ingredients, sampling, performing research, controlling forquality, and reports about results.

Prepare and use testing equipment to examine meat products, containers, and packaging, to determine company andUSDA standards are met and detect the presence of any problems such as low-quality

products.

This work is physically demanding and can require the use of some or all body parts and muscle groups. Some positionsmay require repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs, single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs, or liftingof objects using mechanical assistance.

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college/university, in Food Science, Agro-industrial Engineering,Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field, required

Must possess a high level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to self-manage his/her time

Willingness to relocate for potential growth opportunities, preferred.

English proficient.

Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive workenvironment.

Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
