Operations Coordinator
Overview This position is physically located in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Reports directly to the Operations Manager, provides operational support to the Transportation Department in coordinating and synchronizing workload factors to maximize efficient use of the transportation assets/resources in support of theater operations, the Program Management System for the appointed contracts, Task Orders within GCSMAC and in accordance with FAR Clause 52.245-1, the Performance Work Statement (PWS), and all applicable organizational process assets. Must be able to maintain a professional and transparent relationship with internal or external auditing entities. Provides training, mentoring, and direction to employees for the effective and efficient management of government property. This position requires management or administrative duties relevant to the Property Control Plan that will also report to the Property and Materials Management. Property accountability, procurement, and inventory knowledge is desired. #LI-TM1 Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Retrieves and collects data, compiles information, and produces reports specific to functional area and program management operations. + Monitor’s key performance and management indicators; tracks and analyzes trends and produces reports with recommendations. + Tracks and monitors program tasks, plans, actions, and milestones. + Assists management to effectively manage all Government Furnished Property and Materials to help develop and coordinate the implementation of Property policies and procedures. + Responsible for coordinating government property issues and receipts. Maintains accuracy in hand receipts for Department Primary Hand Receipt Holder. + Coordinates to ensure a 100% accountability of Government Property and Material are maintained in accordance with applicable Government regulations. + Ensures proper receipt, documentation, processing and delivery of all supplies and property IAW applicable Navy Regulation, POS , and PIOPs. + Prepares and reviews appropriate adjustment documentation for lost, damaged, ordestroyed Government materials; including appropriate causative research is provided for review IAW established timelines. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Associates’ degree and two years’ experience or High School diploma and four years’ experience. + Four (4) years’ experience in operations, logistics operations, property control and property inventory accountability or equivalent. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) Experience: + Related Military experience in Property, Supply and Logistics. 2 years of experience in Property Management. + Must be familiar and able to train with the appropriate FAR, DFAR’s, Navy Regulations, and asset management systems. + Knowledgeable of the use of the procurement system; desirable knowledge of the MAXIMO database. Skills: + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills. + Strong customer service, interpersonal, and training skills. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. + Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. + Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Working Conditions: + Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. + Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). + Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements: + Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. + Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
