Position Description
The Operations – Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations and will coordinate/assist with the development of operating and capital budgets to ensure the necessary materials, supplies, and equipment required in support of business operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate/assist with the development of operating and capital budgets to ensure the necessary materials, supplies, and equipment required in support of business operations.
+ Managing budgets, preparing weekly project forecasts and financial reports.
+ Planning and organizing conferences, events, staff training, and employee engagement activities.
+ Assist operations in cultivating and maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
+ Job level commensurate with experience and skill set.
+ Must be able to multitask.
+ General accounting for operating expenses, including review and analysis of variances to forecast and budget.
+ Review account category classification.
+ Creates and maintains database and Excel spreadsheet files, as required.
+ Under limited supervision, performs accounting, data entry, and clerical work.
+ Analyzes, documents, files, corrects, and follows up on all matters.
+ Performs coding, copies, files, distribute invoices, and enters invoices into the Lawson system.
+ Assists travel arrangements.
+ Creates a positive and professional office atmosphere.
+ Performs weekly mail pick-up.
+ Conducts other duties and tasks as assigned.
+ Ability to effectively communicate using both oral and written forms of communication to internal and external parties
Position Requirements
Required Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge: Education:
+ High School Diploma
Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
+ Minimum five (5) years in the Natural gas industry.
+ Minimum (5) years of demonstrated administrative experience.
+ Knowledge of Lawson financial software.
+ Intermediate computer skills with MS Office with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
+ Math and financial skills (necessary to do budgeting and financial tracking)
+ Candidate must possess good interpersonal communication skills. This would include written, digital, and verbal communications.
+ Ability to work independently – self-motivated.
+ Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work with minimal supervision.
+ Follows company policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
+ Working knowledge and/or skills with Accounts Payable, Microsoft Office applications, databases, and other computer applications.
+ Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as required for a multitude of simultaneous tasks and requests.
+ Ability to effectively communicate using both oral and written forms of communication to customers and personnel, when required.
Preferred Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
+ Associate degree in business or technical field, or equivalent experience.
+ Teamwork, communication and multitasking capabilities
+ Must demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
+ Must be able to accept direction and supervision and work effectively and cooperatively with all personnel and customers
+ Ability to lead and manage people in maintaining, changing and/or improving performance in the area of safety, operational excellence, and risk reduction
+ Effective reading and computer skills
