**Description**
**$44.47 - $57.81 per hour**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Develop, coordinate, and implement a Bulk Electric System compliance program to comply with NERC reliability requirements.
+ Develop, implement, and review current policies and practices issued by FERC, NERC, Regional Entity, and other regulatory agencies.
+ Implement training program to meet NERC certification requirements.
+ Improve and enhance workflows to increase efficiency within operations.
+ Collaborate in the development of operations training using a systematic approach.
+ Troubleshoot and assist operations with SCADA system as required.
+ Build, operate, and maintain SCADA system as directed, including training simulator.
+ Collaborate in the SCADA and RTU commissioning of transmission assets.
+ Advise and update internal and external stakeholders.
+ This position will act as a relief operator for AECC TOC as needed and provides real-time, monitoring and control decisions for the 24x7 operation of the AECC transmission system.
+ Ensures transmission system is operated consistent with NERC Reliability Standards.
+ Manages and resolves transmission issues on the system, including the shedding of firm load.
+ Operate SCADA control system to ensure reliability of member loads.
+ Performs other duties of Operator – TOC role as needed.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
**REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
+ NERC RC System Operator Certification or ability to successfully obtain within 12 months
**PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
+ Attend seminars and workshops on job-related subjects as directed.
+ Experience and knowledge of current NERC, MISO and SPP standards, operating policies, procedures, and guidelines. In-depth knowledge of interconnected transmission system operations, generation characteristics, and electric utility power system control systems and practices. Must be able to work extra hours when necessary and promptly report to work whenever needed during both scheduled and non-scheduled working periods.
