Job Description
The Pricing and Analytics team is seeking an operations research data scientist to help solve the most impactful supply chain problems in renewable energy. In this cross-functional role, you will leverage your experience in mathematical optimization and simulation to build software tools that optimize inventory and reduce operational risk.
ResponsibilitiesBuild simulation and optimization models to solve evolving supply chain problems.Develop decision-support tools that impact supply chain strategy in collaboration with software engineers and data engineers.Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to improve operational efficiency and profitability.Support and maintain existing models and tools owned by the team.Assist with data-pipelining in preparation for modeling.Essential SkillsExperience with mixed integer programming and linear programming.Proficiency in R and/or Python.Experience with one or more optimization algebraic modeling languages (e.g., Pyomo or AMPL).Experience with one or more optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi, CBC, CPLEX, Xpress, GAMS).1-3 years of industry experience building mixed integer programming models and simulations.BA/BS in a STEM field – operations research, industrial engineering, or management science preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s degree in operations research, industrial engineering, or management science preferred but not required.Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, on-site at the main campus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.86/hr.
