Working for a not-for-profit Nursery Group as their brand-new Operations Director, this role will take you across the UK supporting Early Years settings where you can expect to be hands on leading with the development of the operating model, management of a Senior team based in Leicester and reporting directly to the Board of Directors and stakeholders. The Nursery group has a turnover of circa £10m with a further 5 potential acquisitions planned for the next 12 months.
Required to attend the Leicester Head Office one day a week, preferably Monday, to link in with your team and attend meetings, the rest of the week will be a mix of visiting settings and working from home.
You will have a fresh approach, be able to work with people of all levels, be energetic and consistent as well as motivate, encourage and nurture development of talent within your own team.
Operations Director Responsibilities include;
Lead strategic direction and operation efficiency across all nursery settings.Ensure regulatory compliance and financial stability.Directly manage a Senior Team.Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a culture of accountability and high performance.Directly manager a team of Operations Managers, Quality Assurance Manager and SEND Lead.Ensure policies are rigorously applied.Achieve occupancy and staffing targets.Identify areas of growth and opportunity.Responsible for Ofsted applications and registrations across the group.
Operations Director Requirements
Degree educated or equivalent experience in Early Years Education or Business Management or related field.Extensive experience working across multi-site early years, education or care settings and with large teams.Articulate, professional and a persuasive networker able to communicate effectively with young children up to the Board of Directors and Stakeholders.In depth knowledge of regulatory and quality standards within Early Years Education including Safeguarding, SEND and the EYFS.Experienced in change management, process improvement and implementing new systems and technologies.Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a Senior National Operational role in a regulated environment.Experience working with a charity or non-profit organisation.Experience working in a similar circa 10m profit based company.
