Responsibilities\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n1. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance transportation efficiency by setting efficiency parameters to meet business objectives.\n\n\n2. Collaborate with cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment\n\n\n3. Oversee transportation networks coordination, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods.\n\n\n4. Stay abreast of industry regulations, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements and standards.\n\n\n5. Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation vendors, maintaining strong relationships to ensure service quality.\n\n\n6. Operations IKO setting and ensuring that targets are being met. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreement to evaluate and enhance operational performance and ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved based on what is defined on the contract.\n\n\n7. Devise and establish quality standards, procedures and specifications for the country’s transportation operations \n\n\n8. Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in transportation operations.\n\n\n9. Drive initiatives for continuous process improvement, embracing innovation to enhance operational effectiveness.\n\n\n10. Drive his/her teams talent management, development and succession planning identifying career paths within the organization and provide guidance on how to achieve their careers goals that will contribute to company growth and success.\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\nAt least 5 years management experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain related business\n\n\nA University Degree, post Graduate Business Diploma and or Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management.\n\n\n• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, logistics, and supply chain management.\n\n\n• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.\n\n\n• Advanced computer skills\n\n\n• Operations management skills\n\n\n• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\n\n• Prioritisation and time management skills\n\n\n• Planning, budgeting and analytical skills\n\n\n• Effective communication and negotiation skills.\n\n\n• Client relationship management skills\n\n\n• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant technologies.\n\n\n
