KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – SOUTH AMERICA is seeking a: Operations Director based in Valinhos/SP.
The Operations Director will be responsible for managing operations (Demand Planning, Maintenance, Facilities, Customer Service, Logistics and Production) in South America, ensuring the strategic planning execution also aligning operations with corporate objectives as growth, profitability and cost efficiency. Act in the implementation of innovation, digital transformation and sustainability initiatives, ensuring market competitiveness.

Responsibilities
Strategic and Operational Management:
+ Lead industrial operations and the production, ensuring the fulfillment of the company’s strategic objectives.
+ Define and ensure guidelines implementation for Production, Demand Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Maintenance & Facilities.
+ Integrate operations with the Quality and Regulatory areas, ensuring compliance with national and international legislation.
+ Manage the modernization, automation and expansion of production units, ensuring long-term competitiveness.
+ Implement technologies and innovations to increase production efficiency and the digitalization of industrial processes.
Performance and Cost Management:
+ Develop and execute the strategic plan and the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between production, demand, and profitability.
+ Define and monitor KPIs for efficiency, costs and quality, ensuring the optimization of industrial processes.
+ Prepare and manage the budget for industrial areas, ensuring control over expenses and investments.
+ Propose and execute strategies to reduce operational costs, increase productivity and promote continuous improvement.
Sustainability, Compliance, and Risk Management:
+ Implement sustainability actions in the production chain, aligned with best ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) practices.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality standards, promoting audits and certifications.
+ Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring the safety of employees and the integrity of processes.
Leadership and Organizational Development:
+ Develop and train teams, ensuring the formation of leaders and qualified professionals for the operation.
+ Create and implement continuous training and development programs to enhance technical and behavioral skills.
+ Foster a culture of high performance, innovation and operational excellence.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Business Administration.
+ MBA or Postgraduate degree in Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Business Management or related fields (desirable).
+ Fluent in English.
+ Spanish is desirable.
+ Solid experience in managing industrial operations and supply chain in large and/or multinational companies.
+ Leadership of multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, with a focus on organizational development.
+ Advanced knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Experience in digital transformation and industrial automation.
+ Strategic management of operational costs and financial control.
+ Strong performance in demand planning and S&OP, with a focus on operational efficiency.
+ Implementation and management of performance indicators (KPIs) for optimizing production processes.
