Job Description

Core WorkKey technical resource for the AreaManage all PSM systems (MOCs, Incident Reporting, P&IDs, Procedures, PHAs) to ensure complianceServe as backup to the Area Superintendent and Area Supervisor

Accountabilities— provide leadership to

Monitor technical performance of the Area 3Resolve technical issues to reach safety, production, and quality targetsEnsure all PSM obligations are fulfilledFoster strong cooperation between R&T, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations personnelProvide backup/support to Superintendent and Area Supervisor when neededProvide coaching for Operators and Shift SupervisorsCost

Key Activities

Actively support the company's safety, environmental, and quality programs to ensure continuous improvement.Ensure MOCs proceed through the system in a timely mannerEnsure P&IDs are up-to-dateEnsure operating procedures are complete and up-to-dateLead RCFA for area issuesEnsure incident reports are complete with appropriate root causes and corrective actionsProvide technical support towards resolution of process upsetsLead design/implementation of area <$50M capital projects and liaison between Operations Area and corporate engineering on all capital projects

Essential Qualifications

B.S. or higher degree in Chemical Engineering0 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing facility (Chemical Industry desirable)Direct experience working in plant operations that run 24/7, 365Working understanding of OSHA, EPA regulations, and Oil & Gas regulationsProven leadership competence with people management experienceGood time management, organizational skills, problem solving, project management and decision making skillsExcellent communications skills, both written and oralStrong technical abilitiesGood familiarity of Site and Corporate policies and proceduresProvide informal training/guidance of unit operators, Shift Supervisor, and Area Supervisors
