We are looking for:
The Operations Engineer is responsible for leading site-based process engineering projects and activities that support unit meeting or exceeding goals for HSE, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction for the Willow Island, WV site.
We count on you for:
Establish and maintain process metrics to assure processes are in control. Take corrective action to address process deviations. Provide technical leadership in the Area Improvement Team (AIT). Ensure application of six sigma and lean techniques to achieve improvements. Lead execution of incremental process improvements, (capacity, yield, usage, etc..) Lead execution of incremental capital improvements. Completion of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), SOP/logsheet updates, Gensuite action items, other systems as necessary under Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines. Lead investigation and resolution of safety incidents (PSI’s) and quality complaints (CCIR’s) including action item closure. Relief of superintendent during absences. Work concurrently with cross-functional teams including Projects, Operations and R&D teams Ensure the site meets its critical objectives by completing assigned elements of the HSE, Quality and Operation Improvement plans. Support advancement initiatives in the areas of Safety, Zero Defect, and Operations Improvement through utilization of a continuous improvement culture.

You will bring:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemical Engineering preferred. 1-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment; chemical batch processing experience preferred. Posses problem solving ability to independently solve a complex problem or issue. Lead a team to accomplish significant goals and objectives. Demonstrate resiliency in completing an assignment with significant time and resource constraints. Possess ability to influence peers, boss, and cross-functional stakeholders in a positive manner. Experience managing a quality improvement team or project. Effectively build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Competitive salary and benefits package The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,560 to $100,700 per year Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
