The Operations Engineer is a hands-on position with the goal of maintaining, optimizing and innovating various pieces of commercial manufacturing equipment, customized automation, packaging equipment and physical plant systems. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.WHAT YOU WILL DOSupport production by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance and repair of plant equipment and systems.  Adjust parameters as production requires.Follow all GMP and safety and internal regulations and procedures.Support the maintenance and preventative maintenance of various plant systems, manufacturing and supporting equipment.  Includes designing, testing and repairing equipment.Identify deficiencies in both processes and equipment and help create modifications or solutions for improvementBe able to learn lean manufacturing techniques to utilize them in the production improvement process.Be able to collect and analyze data for the identification of process weaknesses.  This will include working with production crews, quality control specialists, and SME’s to create the best processes and outcomes.Communicate with supervisor for direction.  The ability to keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not working properly.  This includes documenting operation procedures and meetings, decisions, and future steps going forward.    Create reports based on need.Perform duties with or without close supervision.Coordinate and complete projects with outside vendors.Communicate project statuses, risk analysis and risk mitigation plans and answer project questions in details.
