Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Environmental and Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Facilities Operations Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Environmental & Facilities Operations function at the TABC (Toyota Auto Body Corporation) site. This role will also provide support for operations of multiple sales and parts distribution sites in the area near TABC.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations – Facilities Engineering, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department's objective to ensure plant infrastructure and utility systems readiness in order to achieve plant production safely and within Takt time.
What you’ll be doing
Maintain plant utility systems for production activities by resolving problems related to compressed air supply, HVAC systems, and natural gas supply
Confirm all system meet code requirements for safe operation
Continue to support system reviews to ensure proper refurbishment activities are planned and completed
Developing, monitoring and reporting of all energy consumption KPI’s for production shops and utility processes
Track and identify issues in daily operations and problem solve those issues and develop countermeasures through assigning Maintenance repairs or contract support
Project planning and project management coordination and execution for energy and water reduction projects
Oversee and resolve problems associated with Wastewater Treatment, Reverse Osmosis, and Chemical Treatment
Support building maintenance team members and lead/support new construction projects
TABC representative for Mechanical Work Group to be able to implement and improve Master Maintenance Plan as it applies to TABC equipment
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering; or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience
Plant utility systems experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience managing multiple tasks
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Experience making KPI improvements
Experience providing comprehensive analysis with specific data/details for problem resolution
Experience managing project budgets
Experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Added bonus if you have
Professional Engineering License (PE)
Facilities Manager (CFM), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP)
Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical prints
Familiarity with Power Bi software
Toyota experience
Experience with Toyota Facility Standards, Electrical Safe Working Group
Experience working with labor unions in a manufacturing environment
Proven track record of process improvements
