The Operations Engineer will support our Cellasto Wyandotte Plant, being responsible for the Post-processing areas, support daily operations and playing a key role in ensuring a cost competitive operation that meets the quality and safely requirements, working with topics related to discrete manufacturing process automation, process management, process troubleshooting, capital projects execution, working in collaboration with local and global experts, in a dynamic and stimulating working environment.
**As a Operations Engineer, you create chemistry by...**
+ Being the primary engineer/area owner for Post-processing (Curing, Deburring, VSUs and Cutting) and process / automation technology support for Inspection and Assembly.
+ Using continuous improvement approaches (OpEx, LSS) to ensure a reliable operation and optimize cost, quality and safety.
+ Developing automation concepts for Assembly and Inspection and lead implementation projects.
+ Supporting process and equipment troubleshooting including material flow equipment (conveyors and automated storage units).
+ Creating and optimizing deflashing protocols with focus on improving quality (reject rate) and optimizing resources: utilities consumption and cycle-time.
+ Developing cutting machinery setups for new parts, maintain and improve existent setups in production.
+ Building, publishing and monitoring weekly production schedule for Cutting.
+ Providing technical review and guidance for new products projects, ensuring a successful introduction to manufacturing.
+ Supporting capital projects planning and execution towards scope development, safety reviews, commissioning, and start-up, and act as manufacturing representative when needed.
+ Supporting hazard assessments, RC EHS audit preparation, and action items management.
+ Developing, implement, and maintain Work Instructions, process safety information, and provide Operational team training.
+ Taking a leading technical role in support other process areas in the Cellasto Plant as needed, including Prepolymer, B Machine and Molding Lines
**If you...**
+ Have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automation or Chemical Engineer or a bachelor’s degree with a blend of professional experience that supports the success in the role.
+ Possess preferably at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or Engineering related environment.
+ Are a good team player and communicate well across multiple levels of the organization.
