As a Processing Operations Engineer, you’ll drive process optimization, lead capital projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Key responsibilities include:
Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvements
Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in the batch manufacturing processes. Implement solutions to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and optimize kettle utilization.Capital Projects & Equipment Upgrades
Lead capital projects to upgrade equipment and automate processes, ensuring projects stay on track with budget and timeline. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in safety, product quality, and cost efficiency.Collaboration with Reliability on Equipment Downtime & RCAs
Partner with the Reliability team to identify root causes of equipment downtime and develop potential solutions to minimize unplanned stoppages. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment issues and drive actionable recommendations for improvement.Project Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
Lead projects involving process optimization, equipment upgrades, and efficiency improvements from concept through implementation. Work closely with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to ensure improvements align with OSHA, GMP, and FDA regulations.Safety & Compliance
Ensure all improvements meet regulatory standards and contribute to a safe working environment. Who We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical).
Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing, process engineering, or equipment reliability.
Skills & Abilities
Creative problem solver with a focus on practical, real-world solutions. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma and continuous improvement. Strong communicator with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to all cross functional parties. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and process optimization. Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, and safety regulations in manufacturing.Work Schedule
