Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a motivated Early Career Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on, full-time role, you will focus on eliminating waste, managing production enablers, and developing and coaching management systems. Your contributions will help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in our production processes. Key Responsibilities
- Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate inefficiencies and waste in production processes, ensuring continuous improvement.

- Support the management and optimization of production enablers to enhance operational efficiency and meet production goals.

- Contribute to the development of management systems and provide coaching to team members on best practices for process improvement.

- Use statistical methods to gather, analyze, and interpret data, providing actionable insights to leadership for decision-making.

- Assist in developing business cases that support continuous improvement initiatives and justify process changes or resource allocation.

- Work closely with teams across different functions to drive operational excellence and improve business processes.

- Contribute to project management activities, ensuring timely execution of continuous improvement and operational efficiency projects.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with continuous improvement practitioner in an aerospace or automotive Manufacturing environment.

Experience in applying lean six sigma principles with demonstrated performance improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools similar to Kaizen, waste elimination, Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC, A3 PDCA & Takt.

Experience utilizing data analysis tools to effectively identify waste reduction opportunities and reduce variation in a production environment.

Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing, utilizing presentation tools to communicate cross functionally.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge and experience within Lean Manufacturing Systems which may include one or more of the following: Value Stream Mapping, Value Added Analysis, Pull and Flow Techniques, Cycle Time Analysis, 6S, PDCA, Standard Work, Error Proofing, Visual Management & Controls

Bachelor of science degree in Technical Engineering discipline, Business, or Operations preferred

Experience developing and coaching through problem solving methodologies

Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including non-technical personnel
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
