Estimated annual base pay: $64,080 (minimum) - $80,100 (midpoint) - $96,120 (maximum) USD

Are you ready to make your mark? If you are interested in becoming an Operations Engineer at Woodward, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
This Operations Engineer Level 1 position will support automation projects from start to finish, whether led by internal teams or partnered with external integrators. Functions will include: process reviews & development, layouts & simulations, tooling & fixture design, payback & capital spend calculations, design reviews & validation, and assist with controls & programming efforts.
What you will be doing...
Identify and review opportunities for automation across all product lines
Develop processes for automating manual tasks using both robotics and simple automation
Design tooling & fixtures for automated systems
Create CAD layouts and simulations
Calculate payback and capital spend for funding requests
Create validation plans for automated equipment and oversee validation testing
Work with external suppliers to identify automated equipment
Generate statements of work to contract with automation integrators
Build and assemble automated equipment
Support internal and external design reviews for new automated systems
Programming smart tools and controls with support (Robots/Cobots,PLC's, HMI's, torque drivers, smart cameras, etc..)
What we are looking for...
Bachelor's degree in technical/science or international equivalent required
Professional certifications preferred (i.e. AWS, SME, CWE, CWI, etc.)
General Six Sigma knowledge; Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
General Project planning tools
General troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; General understanding of Root Cause Analysis
General understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
General understanding and ability to read electrical and/or mechanical machine drawings
