Job Description

Ensure Advent's operations, such as application job scheduling and server operations work properly and meet business and client expectations. In the event of an incident or failure repair and restore client environments, in coordination with other departments, to their normal operational status.Excellent understand and working knowledge of Windows operating system technologiesWorking knowledge of Encryption tools such as PGP, GPG, and GNUFTP and SFTP server configuration and troubleshootingKnowledge of scripting technologies (e.g. PowerShell, SQL)Monitor application availability and performance (e.g. Splunk, SiteScope, and SolarWinds)Work with peers and customers to troubleshoot infrastructure, application, database, and network related issuesCoordinate/communicate with various teams on tasks and escalations using Agile methodologiesParticipate in 24x7 escalation/rotation support as part of the larger teamSupport new virtual and cloud solutions that improve Advent’s / SS&C service offerings Introduce technologies to enhance the service provided by Advent IT

Qualifications Requirements

3+ years of professional experience with IT operations supporting Windows serversExperience with troubleshooting Microsoft products and protocolsExperience supporting complex internal and client facing environmentsExperience working with enterprise applicationsTeam player - Recognizes the bigger picture and understands the value of teamworkExcellent communication skills, written and verbal, including experience with technical documentation
