Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Operations Engineering Manager located in Milpitas CA.

Reporting to the Director, Operations Engineering the Operations Engineering Manager, will be Responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the engineering function. Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods, processes and operations for both new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and resources in producing cost-effective, quality products and customer solutions.

What a typical day looks like:

Participates in the review of customer contracts and engineering designs by outlining requirements and considerations.

Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.

Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives.

Directs the activities of engineers and staff and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.

Interacts regularly with executives, customers, and outside regulatory agencies.

Drives engineering strategies to deliver customer requirements and recommend Flex capabilities in manufacturing and engineering services.

Provides technical supplier management as related to product development and integration.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 7 years in manufacturing.

2-3 years of experience in people management.

Excellent communication skills.

Proven ability to coach and mentor team members.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in SolidWorks.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office.

Previous experience with SPC Analytics.
