As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operational Excellence Lead to join our team and drive process improvement initiatives, provide strategic direction and ensure operational efficiency of the service, field operations and project delivery for our space rentals and workforce housing branch operations. This is a full time permanent, based out of Calgary office.
What You Get to Do:
Process and Product Improvement
Lead and facilitate product standardization, process improvement workshops, and strategy implementation across multiple business regions (Pacific, Northern, Central, and Atlantic) to optimize product innovation, facilities, and service management. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for fleet, facilities, and service management, ensuring adherence to ATCO’s safety and operational standards. Conduct process audits, monitor operational performance across field locations, and provide analytics and reporting on key operational metrics.Manufacturing
Ensure proactive engagement and representation from Space Rentals (SR) and Workforce Housing (WH) teams during product development to meet quality, service, and cost objectives, and administer key performance indicators to align with business needs. Provide performance insights to executive management to inform business strategies and ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. Provide solutions to root cause analysis investigations identified by qualityField Operations
Ensure operational standards are consistently implemented across all ATCO Space Rentals locations, leveraging business metrics to optimize performance, profit, and revenue. Assist in annual budget preparation and business planning, focusing on safety, quality, operations goals. Collaborate with HR build a skilled workforce, including recruiting, training, and collaborate with Senior Leadership in the successful launch of new Space Rentals branches from operations perspectiveLeadership
Identify and implement initiatives to improve employee retention, reduce costs, and enhance productivity, while reviewing monthly results with Senior Management to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with internal departments to optimize operational excellence and achieve business goals.Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Safety Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 10 years in equipment rentals, manufacturing, or construction (modular experience an asset) At least 3 years in a leadership role, with proven ability to engage at all organizational levels and drive innovation. Proven experience with process improvement and/or best practice implementation is required Solid understanding of State and Federal safety, environmental regulations, and extensive knowledge of safety policies. Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) certification required or to be completed within 6 months. Experience with Lean Methodology (e.g., 5S, Kanban, Six Sigma, Scrum) Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.Who we Are:
