Job Description:
The Operations Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a manufacturing or service site, integrating engineering principles specifically mechanical engineering, supply chain management, and strict adherence to AS9100 and ISO 9001. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and industry-specific knowledge to optimize site operations and ensure compliance with highly regulated standards in the aerospace and defense sectors.
Requirements/Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in site operationsStrong focus on mechanical engineering- fabrication technologies; brazing, welding, machining, precision type stamping and forming, supply chain, and compliance to MIL-SPEC standard.General knowledge on Electronics assembly workmanship to IPC 610 class 3 – J-STD Space addendum preferredExperience in staff or project roles such as Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality or Applications Engineering, Supply Chain, or a project assignmentNPI experience (Milestone Lifecycle Process), understanding the process for introducing new product designs into production release.Understanding of principles of Lean Manufacturing and six-sigma and how to effectively utilize the selected toolsU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $70,000-$163,000.**Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
