**About The Team:**
Since launching the service in Japan in Sep. 2016, Uber Eats has become deeply rooted in the local food culture, both shaping and celebrating it, and helping small and large businesses connect with customers. We have seen incredible customer love and acceptance over the past seven years of Uber Eats in Japan. **About the Role**
As the Operations & Logistics Manager, you will optimize procurement and inventory management processes to support business growth. Overseeing daily operations, you will implement inventory practices to maintain accurate stock levels, prevent shortages or overstocking, and enhance supply chain performance.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to align strategies with organizational goals, negotiate favorable contracts, and lead a small team of contractors (3-4 people). Leveraging data-driven insights, you will streamline processes, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable results.
**Your Impact in Role:**
1. **Inventory Management:** Implement effective systems to ensure accurate stock tracking, reduce waste, and improve turnover while meeting business demands.
2. **Data-Driven Operations:** Use analytics to identify inefficiencies, monitor supplier performance, and optimize procurement and inventory processes.
3. **Vendor Management:** Develop strong partnerships with local and global suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries that adapt to business needs.
4. **Procurement Optimization:** Design and execute strategies to source high-quality products and services at competitive prices, ensuring reliable supplier performance.
**The Experience You’ll Bring:**
1. **Language Proficiency:** Native or business-level Japanese and business-level English, with excellent communication skills.
2. **Analytical Skills:** Comfortable using data to refine procurement and inventory strategies, solve problems, and support decision-making.
3. **Experience:** 5+ years in inventory management, supply chain, procurement, or related roles.
4. **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL knowledge is a plus.
