Operations Maintenance Person
Heidelberg Materials is currently looking for a responsible, safety conscious, and dependable Operations Maintenance Person to join our local team. In this role you will be based in Victoria and responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of the Stationary and Mobile Equipment. Mechanical maintenance responsibilities will include but not be limited to maintenance inspections and breakdown repairs of Stationary and Mobile Equipment. The successful applicant will have a strong mechanical background and a desire to develop knowledge pertaining to all Stationary and Mobile Equipment associated with site operations.

 Perform scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs of Stationary and Mobile equipment as required to achieve optimum performanceOperate and inspect Stationary and Mobile equipment to diagnose problemsEnsure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately and to manufacturer standardsTest mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specificationsManage parts inventory for repair and maintenance of Stationary and Mobile equipmentCoordinate repair work with vendors (local truck dealers, repair shops, etc) and interact with parts suppliers Develop understanding of basic Stationary and Mobile equipment maintenance and breakdown inspectionsPerform Stationary and Mobile equipment inspections to ensure operational performance and required maintenance. Work with plant supervision, vendors, and service suppliers to coordinate clean up and Stationary and Mobile equipment maintenance requirements.
Who We Are Looking For:Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license Related experience servicing transmissions, rear ends, running gear, and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsProficient computer skills and experience with formal maintenance programs is an assetRequires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positionsExperience with concrete mixer trucks is an assetExperience with conveyor belts, pumps, and other machinery is an assetInterest in gaining knowledge in plant PM and repair processes Must be willing to be certified in First Aid Level 1 and transport endorsement.Must be willing to pass annual respirator fit testing and wear respiratory protection when required.Must be willing to be confined space certified and enter confined spaces.Must be willing to complete fall protection training and perform work at heights.Must be willing to be trained to operate various types of heavy equipment and be capable of safely operating while unsupervised.
