Position Description:
Background Information : Data Operations, part of HE Data based in Noida, enables positive changes in performance and stakeholder engagement through a centralized operating model. This is a global function supporting all of Pearson. As a team, we manage a variety of data processes to ensure that data is valid, accurate, governed, compliant and complete. As content continues to proliferate across multiple emerging digital platforms, our team provides the resources to enable scalability and cost containment. We facilitate collaboration between product teams and suppliers who contribute to the products.
Role Description: We are looking for a candidate who ensures accuracy of data in every aspect and manage deadlines. Resource shall be responsible to work closely with Global teams. With the changing needs of business, the role is dynamic and candidate must be adaptable to change.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
Managing data in Pearson Global Application (Oracle)
Ensuring data accuracy and complaint with governed rules specified for each geography (UK, US, Canada, Australia, Asia, many more to come)
Rigorous follow-up with business teams to manage various processes
Work within Pearson business systems to process data and bring recurring data inaccuracies to management attention.
Maintain rapport with business stakeholders, managers, and peers by proper communication channel and resolving problem situations.
Adapt and learn process to provides information to specific requests/questions.
Maintain continuity of operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management; discovering irregularities; determining continuing needs.
Candidate Profile:
Core Technical/Functional Competencies:
Should have operations knowledge (preferably worked on Oracle)
Should have good English communication skills, both oral and written.
Should have good knowledge of working on MS Office/MS Excel
Should be a good team player
Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential: Candidate should be post-graduate in any discipline or carry professional degree.
Desired: Formal experience in managing business systems and portals.
Previous Experience
Essential: Two to three years of experience in data management
Desirable: Prior experience in a publishing company
