Nature of Duties:

 

Support plant and department specific safety initiatives through employee engagement, investigations, and job hazard analysis Work with production management team to formulate plans to successfully reach production targets Perform reviews/audits of standard work and critical processes to insure product quality Perform analysis on defects generated  to define targeted action plans Assist the production teams with continuous improvement initiatives including line balancing, process walks, 5S activities, daily housekeeping. Create and maintain training plans that insure appropriate job rotations Support continuous improvement meetings for assigned department Plan and lead start of shift meetings to ensure effective communication of daily metrics, expectations, and department specific information. Complete daily functions associated with department oversight. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

A current College or University student at an accredited institution.  Prefer Junior/Senior level majoring in business management or operations. Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to formulate and communicate abstract concepts clearly.  Demonstrated proficiency in use of personal computers and contemporary office productivity software.
