Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all operational functions related to the safe and efficient operation of the Indoor and outdoor Waterparks. Attend and complete a Jeff Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP) and be certified as a lifeguard instructor. Oversee scheduling to ensure proper placement and staffing levels are maintained to operate efficiently. Create and maintain department budget including forecast projections from profit and loss statements Enforce all policies and procedures and maintain all Six Flags and Jeff Ellis & Associates standards. Coach and document team member events and discipline. Handle guest complaints quickly, professionally, and effectively. Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members. Oversee the completion of daily inspections and water quality tests. Attend and participate in weekly departmental staff meetings and in-service training. Train staff in accordance with Six Flags standards. Report to Maintenance teams any damages or maintenance issues in a timely fashion Assist in other departments at the Resort (Park & Lodge) as well as other duties assigned

Skills and Qualifications:
Over the age of 21 Must be able to swim Three to five years of progressive supervisor experience in aquatics and/or operations experience College degree preferred. Must be able to complete pre-requisites and skills required to achieve “Instructor” certification. Financially sound. Analytical ability to manage a budget, forecast and predict and anticipate trends. Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications. Proven ability to effectively lead and coach a team with a strong motivational, team oriented approach. Good organizational skills, creative, outgoing, detail oriented, and self-motivator. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $68,000 annually
