Operations Manager, Distribution Center
Are you a strategic leader who thrives on optimizing resources, streamlining processes, and driving continuous improvement? We’re looking for an Operations Manager to oversee key operational functions and ensure alignment with business objectives while fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and excellence.
What You’ll Do
✅ Staffing & Performance Management – Align staffing plans, schedules, and performance levels with business needs.✅ Resource Optimization – Maximize the efficiency of equipment, facilities, employees, and materials for operational success.✅ Continuous Improvement – Lead projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to drive efficiency and cost savings.✅ Inventory & Systems Management – Ensure accurate data collection, update key metrics, and maintain inventory control.✅ Safety & Compliance – Promote and enforce workplace safety while fostering a strong safety culture.✅ Performance Monitoring – Conduct audits, track employee attendance, and uphold standard operating procedures.✅ Leadership & Development – Communicate goals effectively and support employee growth through coaching and training.✅ Customer Satisfaction – Ensure operational excellence to meet customer expectations and enhance service levels.
What You Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field✔ 3+ years of experience in distribution, e-commerce leadership, or a related area✔ Proven experience leading and managing hourly associates✔ Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex business problems✔ Expertise in resource management, process optimization, and performance improvement✔ Knowledge of Lean Methodologies and Continuous Quality Improvement principles✔ Experience in system improvement, capacity planning, and product flow✔ Strong project management skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making
Preferred Qualifications➕ Master’s degree or equivalent➕ Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques➕ Background in logistics or e-commerce fulfillment➕ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)➕ Strong communication and leadership skills, with mentoring/training experience➕ Flexibility to work weekends and/or night shifts as needed➕ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
