The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of financial operations within the Shared Services Finance. This role involves managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing financial systems, and providing strategic guidance to support business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial ManagementManage and oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger, and financial reporting.
ComplianceEnsure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.
Process ImprovementsIdentify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Implement best practices and process improvements to optimize financial operations.
Financial AnalysisConduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making. Analyse financial data, trends, and performance metrics to inform strategic planning and resource allocation.
Risk ManagementIdentify financial risks and provide resolutions to mitigate them. Work closely with the Shared Services Finance Manager to implement risk management policies and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure financial stability.
Ad-hoc ProjectsLead or participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial challenges and support organizational goals.
Team LeadershipProvide leadership and guidance to the Shared Services Finance team. Coach and develop staff to build a high-performing team capable of achieving departmental goals.
Training and Performance Development
Translate organization goals into clear, comprehensive, and achievable directives for the team. Support direct reports in the implementation of new directives.Cascade knowledge and develop team capabilities to strengthen understanding of business needs and service excellence.Lead, motivate and develop a team to ensure that training and development needs are met, and succession plans are in place.Determine training requirements then execute training with other team members, in relation to advance use of relevant systems, processes and required skillset for their role.Review and identify knowledge gaps and implement plans to improve and eliminate them moving forward.Act and liaise with team members to resolve any matters that arise relating to performance in a timely manner.Customer Satisfaction
Work with the Finance Services Manager in ensuring that services meet or exceed expectations and are delivered in accordance with agreed KPIs and SLAs,Maintain a high level of customer service measured through benchmarked customer satisfaction.Provide strategy and guidance to resolve escalated / complex issues.Shared Services Requirements
Establish a culture of flexibility and adaptability to varying shift requirements and operation hours to fulfil real time business requirements.Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality requirements relating to Finance activities and ensure the teams compliance of these requirement.
