Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the Beauty & Essex outlet, including marketing, entertainment, sales, and revenue generation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

Plans and oversees the operations of the outlet including guest and employee satisfaction, marketing, entertainment, financial performance, sales, and revenue generationResponsible for hiring, training, and evaluating all restaurant personnel and enforcing food and beverage policies and proceduresResponsible for the scheduling, growth opportunities and employee development of all front-of-house employeesResponsible for front-of-house operations to ensure quality, safety, beverage recipe accuracy, efficiency and profitablyAttends and participates in any training sessions, departmental meetings, or daily pre-service meetings.Responsible for all menu updatesAnticipate and accommodate needs of the guestsCoaches and develops front-of-house employees by setting clear guidelines and expectationsPossesses in-depth knowledge of operational systems, including payrollRegulates all executive-level POS functionsEnsures the reconciliation of all end-of-shift financialsPractical knowledge in the job duties of all supervised employeesCommunicates clearly and concisely with heart-of-house employees during serviceEnsures the completion of all opening and closing procedures as prescribed by companyMaintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Tao Group Hospitality Employee HandbookDemonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners and supporting hotel environments.Manages server check averages and informs management and staff of necessary areas of improvementComplies with Tao-centric food and beverage SOPsWorks with Purchasing and/or Warehouse Departments to ensure that any necessary operating supplies are procuredManages the operational budget and controls expenses, with a focus on sales, supplies, and laborStays highly visible and interfaces with guests on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality, service levels and overall satisfactionMaintains a robust calendar of entertainment events; DJ’s, viewing parties etc. to build brand awareness, excitement, and visit frequencyCollaborates with the Chef d Cuisine on daily menu specialsRemains current and connected to industry trendsMaintains confidentiality of guest information and pertinent departmental data.Is an advocate of the company’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures the general cleanliness of the front-of-house, and the entire venueEnsures that all mechanical systems are in good working order and compliant with all federal, state, and local ordinancesParticipates in reviewing the venue’s monthly Profit & Loss statementEnsures Department of Health and company sanitation standards

Ensures that the venue is compliant with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and company policiesAssists the Director of Tao Group in evaluating Team Members’ job performances and annual performance reviewsResponsible for discipline in accordance to company policies and proceduresAssists in overseeing the replacement or repair of all breakage, damage of equipment or furnitureBuilds rapport, commitment and loyalty with customers and associatesInvestigates and responds to all specific customer complaint lettersPortrays a positive and professional attitudePerforms other related duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

Associates’ Degree in Hospitality, Business or equivalent work experience preferred.Minimum of 5 years hospitality experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager or senior manager within a high-volume environmentStrong guest service foundation, ability to coach, build a team, problem solve, and leadership skillsAbility to lead, plan and manage changeMust be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS and technology.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skillsIntermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and OutlookIn lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, 7 years of hospitality management experience in a high-volume environment may be considered

Training Requirements:

Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Manager Training coursesCompletion of Tao Group Hospitality Assistant General Manager Training Program, PCI/DSS, Alcohol Awareness, Food Handling and Gaming RegistrationMust develop a thorough knowledge of culinary disciplines and cost factors (labor, food, etc.)SMART alcohol awareness certificationKnowledge of Stratton Warren systemsUnderstanding of Scheduling and Time & Attendance system and Manager Self Service systems

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
