Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team in Winnipeg. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production and manufacturing activities within the organization while implementing procedures to maximize efficiency. Fostering a commitment to safety and quality while building a lean manufacturing culture is key to company vision and procedures. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:
Oversees the manufacturing, production, and engineering functions within the organization Trains, coaches, and evaluates the performance of the Operations team to ensure a high level of productivity and quality of work Analyzes current production processes and creates and implements improvements to maximize efficiency Manages forecasting, budgeting, and cost management activities and creates manufacturing plans Works closely with the management team as well as cross functionally to ensure communication and cohesion throughout the manufacturing process
Qualifications:
5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment Degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management processes Motivation to coach staff and exceed expectations to achieve quality results Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, solve problems, and consistently meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working in unionized environment considered an asset
What you can expect in return:
Salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience Comprehensive benefits package including RRSP matching Bonus program and opportunity for advancement
