Description Nick Corieri from Robert Half is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize the day-to-day activities of a growing logistics operations team for a locally owned company in Syracuse, New York. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless coordination between sales and dispatch teams while maintaining high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of logistics systems and operational workflows. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage daily operations, including the coordination of sales and dispatch teams to ensure smooth workflows. • Provide guidance and support to team members, answering questions and resolving issues promptly. • Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and meet organizational goals. • Collaborate with team leads to develop and implement strategies for optimizing logistics and transportation activities. • Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory planning, reporting, and other critical operational tasks. • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. • Analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all operational activities. • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to maintain strong relationships. • Address any operational challenges proactively to minimize disruptions. Requirements • 3-5+ years of experience in the transportation logistics industry is preferred • 2+ years management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams effectively. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems and other logistics-related software. • Sales experience is a plus. • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and solve problems efficiently.
