Operations Manager

(Taguig City, Philippines)

 

 

Position Overview

 

As a member of the country management team, the Operations Manager assumes multiple roles of strategic partner, coach, change agent and employee advocate.

 

Reporting directly to Managing Director Philippines and functionally to the APMEA Operations Director, successful candidate will be responsible to oversee and manage the overall manufacturing operations including production, planning, purchasing, international sourcing, supply chain, logistics and warehousing.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Create and communicate a vision for operations for Puratos Philippines and translate it into clear actions around the 5 Operations pillars: Quality, HSE, Service, Cost and People.

 

Quality:

Reduce Customer Complaints and Improve Right-First-Time performance, Define the Quality plan, Achieve and maintain necessary Quality certificates,

 

Health, Safety & Environment:

Continuously improve accidents frequency (LTIR) and reduce environmental impact of our operations. Contribute to the Group commitment to Carbon neutrality and water balance. Identify and eliminate Safety risks from Operations and business.

 

Service:

Deliver the targeted service level (OTIF) to customers, Strengthen the S&OP process and optimize the Supply Chain process Optimize the Inventory to the best possible value for business,

 

Cost:

Embed a continuous improvement mindset, Deliver on financial and productivity metrics (Cost/Ton, Tons/FTEs, inefficiencies, Operations Cost as a % of Sales, Working Capital, OEE. Cost variances), Launch and support Project DRIVE (Cost saving Initiative), Purchasing: work with group Purchasing to deliver on expected cost saving in both direct and indirect spending,

 

People:

Implement plans for shopfloor engagement, Organize the necessary training to increase leadership skills and technical competencies as needed, Lead the development and implementation of short- and long-term Operations strategies, in full alignment with business needs, Responsible for the preparation of all Capex budgets and adherence and coordination of these financial estimates and plans.  Direct the selection and installation of equipment necessary to maintain facilities in a competitive position, Ensure that effective systems, procedures, and financial controls are established within the functional areas of responsibility.

 

 

 

Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, preferably food processing is required. Significant exposure to broad business management, including the development, analysis and management of operational, logistics and procurement strategies, Experience and accomplishments in good manufacturing / best practices is essential, A natural charismatic leader with a collaborative, team-oriented style, the candidate should be able to educate, motivate and inspire others in an organization driven by a strong customer focus.  Strong in written and oral communication, and in presentation skills, Strategically oriented, the individual should demonstrate strong business acumen and exhibit an in-depth understanding of Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions, A high level of analytical ability to drive operational efficiencies and initiate continuous improvement programs, This candidate is known for understanding and adding value to high-level management interactions with a proven ability to develop and sell key operational business strategies, Solid computer skills (advanced Word, Excel and Power Point) with the ability to quickly grasp new software, Business fluent English,
