Job Description Summary

• The Operations Manager has overall responsibility for production, product quality and personnel and contributes to cost management and efficiency improvement initiatives at the site
• This includes handling operations, meeting deadlines/performance requirements and ensuring efficient use of resources
• In addition, the Operations Manager collaborates with the sales team and engineering, determines the required services and ensures their implementation

Job Description

Handles all production areas, is responsible for quality, adherence to deadlines and productivityLeads the production team, consisting of 3 group leaders, 4 team leaders and approximately 70 production AssociatesResponsible for optimizing production processes, workflow and supportWorks closely with technical development, quality assurance, logistics and maintenance departmentsAchieves product and operational goals by participating in strategic development, setting up action plans and implementing standards in productionConducts audits and develops/realises improvementsLeads and develops the team throughout the HR lifecycle, from hiring new Associates, onboarding and agreeing goals, to workforce planning, coaching and conducting performance reviews, planning compensation changes and implementing disciplinary actions (as needed)Plans further development measures for Associates in the teamAll other tasks as instructed

Required Skills and Education

Completed technical or business degree, completed vocational training as Engineer, or a comparable qualificationAt least 7 years of professional experience in the automotive supplier industry as Production Manager or a comparable functionExperience in leadershipKnowledge of Lean Management and Continuous Improvement (CIP)Negotiation skills, strong communication skills, assertivenessVery good computer skills (MS-Office, ERP)Very good spoken and written English
