Operations Manager

This position is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, leadership, and management of the manufacturing plant. Roles and responsibilities include:

Serves as the second-in-command to the Plant Manager, supporting in the overall management and operations of the plant. Lead and manage a team of operations supervisors, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency in production processes. Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, improve productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. Provide leadership in setting and achieving operational KPIs and targets, including safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost control. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and high performance within the plant. Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and innovation in plant operations. Act as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, providing insights, recommendations, and support in driving the plant's overall success. \n Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry. Proven track record of leadership and people management, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive operational improvements. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. Strategic foresight and ability to think long-term, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in the industry. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and process optimization. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
