Operations Manager – Germany
Our client is a well-established and thriving specialist mechanical services contractor undertaking the supply and installation of prefabricated and modular mechanical / HVAC and energy solutions across Ireland, UK and Europe
This organisation works across multiple industry sectors but in mainland Europe they specialise within the data centre and pharmaceutical sectors working on behalf of Tier 1 main contractors
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery teams across a portfolio of Data Centre projects primarily in Frankfurt, Germany
The Operations Manager will introduce development plans to keep evolving the teams and recruitment plans to continue delivery of these prestigious projects to the company high standards and programme.
A strategic planner with strong commercial awareness to valuate on monthly reporting to director level and presenting future forecasts against current delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Hold ultimate responsibility for the delivery of £25m+ Data Centres projects per annum, spread across 4 or 5 live projects at any one time Strategic project planning, ability to forecast, current capacity against works in the pipeline, analysing recruitment requirements for professional growth. Hold ultimate responsibility in the recruitment of the teams to deliver onsite and any specialist contractors to ensure delivery of the projects. A strong commercially minded individual overseeing any project lifecycle, highlighting company risks with mitigation strategies. Prompt and directing all departments to ensure projects are delivered on Programme and Budget Provide Monthly presentations to SLT meetings ascertain whether projects targets are being achieved and establish corrective measures to be taken if necessary. Identifying department performance, areas of risk and project delivery strategies. Identify Resources plans and training requirements along with department KPI’s Fantastic communication skills within the department to deliver the message and keep growing the relationships with our valued partners ensuring our core values and we are the employer of choice. Fresh thinker always looking ahead at potential new ways in the delivery of a project and always looking for efficiencies through the project lifecycle. Integrated planning meetings are arranged with relevant project stakeholders to agree contract baseline programmes and directing the teams through them highlighting scope and potential risks. Continue to build relationships with our valued clients and always looking out for potential new ones, you will be the front for Alternative Heat when liaising with clients always leading with our core values.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ideally a minimum of 5 years professional experience in a senior leadership or director role, delivering £20m+ per annum. Can work across multiple departments on serval projects directing and holding full responsibility. Extensive planning experience and excellent attention to detail. Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills both internally and externally with our valued clients. Can explain examples of how you have done this in your previous role. Experience working on major construction projects within the Data Centre Sector. Self-motivated team player with good people skills. Integrity and credibility, people want to work with you. Degree in a relevant design or construction subject. An in depth understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Pipework (MEP) systems would be advantageous.
