Job Description Faststream is currently searching for a dry bulk Operations Manager to join a reputable and expanding ship owner/operator in Hamburg.

Role Overview:

Location: Hamburg, Germany
Focus: Overseeing daily dry bulk vessel operations, ensuring smooth and profitable voyages for a global fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:
Handle operational aspects of Handy to Supramax and Ultramax vessels, with a strong focus on geared vessels equipped with cranes. Oversee voyage planning, hold cleaning, laytime calculations, and demurrage claims. Manage end-to-end P&L including invoicing, hire and freight payments, and performance claims. Cargo Handling:
Coordinate the loading and unloading of grain, minerals, and logs across various ports. Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company and industry standards. Data Management & Reporting:
Utilise IMOS software to streamline operations and maintain accurate records. Track and report on KPIs, financial outcomes, and vessel performance to senior management. Qualifications & Skills:
Strong previous experience in dry bulk operations, ideally with Handy, Supramax, or Ultramax geared vessels. Proficiency in IMOS software is essential. Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to operations. Fluent in English; proficiency in German or Spanish is advantageous. Must have the right to work in Europe (Schengen).
