Oversees production facilities and manufacturing within, ensuring products and activities are completed safely, within quality standards, on schedule, and within cost objectives.
ResponsibilitiesA role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:
Assists in the development and execution of long and short-range plans, policies, programs, and objectives relative to assigned facilities.Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that prooducts conform to established customer and company quality standards.Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.Hires, trains, develops, and evaluates staff. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations.Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap, and rework data.Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).Completes other projects as assigned.

QualificationsJob Skills Requirements
Sound knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, inventory, and quality procedures and management programs and systems.Proficient computer skills including familiarity with enterprise resource planning and business intelligence/analytics systems.Good understanding of intergrated supply chain management including demand planning, forecasting and procurement.Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of people inside and outside of the corporation.Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience Requirements
