Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for an Operations Manager to provide expert leadership and direction across our operation in Harlow, ensuring a high-quality and safe service is delivered to our customer, you’ll be responsible for preparing and managing the warehouse budget and business plans, whilst supporting and managing the development of your team.

 

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday; however, some flexibility may be required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as the option to purchase additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

To understand the short to medium term plans of the customer and the operational requirements. Review operational volumes and forecasts to calculate labour requirements. To understand the customers ethos and operational priorities. Ensure Customer deadlines are met with the targets contained within the contracts service level agreement (SLA) and key performance indicators (KPI) Regularly coach, mentor and support the operative team and implement structured development programmes. Participate in all HR processes when asked or required such as disciplinary, absence, investigations, probations, and grievances. Develop and support middle management in the same areas through an engaging and coaching management style

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

Proven successful warehouse management across a fast-paced environment. Strong team management and coaching skills, coupled with the ability to drive and implement change. Highly analytical and IT literate Experience working with internal and external customers, with the ability to influence stakeholders
