Element has an opportunity for a Operations Manager. This position is located within the Rolls-Royce Excellence Building (Plant 8) in Indianapolis, IN. Element staffs the metallurgical, chemistry, and build labs. This position reports to the General Manager located in Daleville, IN.

 

Responsibilities Manage high performing team of Engineers, Chemists, Technician, Machinists and Administrative personnelCollaborate with the Element Daleville General Manager and Quality Manager to achieve and maintain NADCAP accreditation of the metallurgical and chemistry labsQuality and Technical responsibility for Metallurgical and Chemistry laboratory preparation and testing methodsOversee purchasing selections, drive customer concentricity, and continuous improvement and innovation activitiesMeet Rolls-Royce production, research, and testing needs within a captive lab setting Skills / Qualifications A2LA/ISO17025 audit experience or extensive exposure is requiredNADCAP audit experience or extensive exposure is preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role with a diploma or GED certificateWorking knowledge of laboratory safety with extensive knowledge of the current suite of testing capabilitiesAbility to read and interpret test specifications, drawings, test plans and/or blueprintsUnderstanding of continuous improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc. preferred
