About the role:As a n Operations Manager you will ensure the long-term success of business by providing operations with processes, and behaviors to ensure efficient manufacturing of nuclear fuel. Lead efforts to deliver important improvement opportunities and develop systems to sustain continuous improvement process.
You will report to the Plant Director and be located at Ogden, UT and will support this role 100% onsite.

Ensure an understanding and urgent correction of quality affecting issues and trends
Ensure changes and improvements that impact processes are reviewed to ensure no adverse impact to product quality. Given the significance of the impact of quality defects in our product, is a visible champion in ensuring workers understand how their work activities impact product quality
Plan, develops and implements long-term strategic planning of the manufacturing goals, personnel development, and our goals focused on adding value to the business
Develop working relationships with peers with the full in consideration of the best interests of the facility; ability to develop department goals and performance goals in consideration of high level facility, nuclear fuels and company-wide performance goals
Ensure effectiveness of operational systems; analyze financial, production, quality control, and other operational data to ensure operational objective are achieved. This includes all customer requirements, optimization of in-process inventories, and staffing requirements considering budgetary limitations, time constraints, and customer impact
Create an organizational culture of continuous improvement through the use of Lean Manufacturing principles. Act to lead a sustainable continuous improvement organization
Use policy deployment to ensure understanding of operational unit goals and activities with organizational goals
Create a performance based organizational culture that values employee engagement and inclusion
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related field, engineering or operations management required
Five years manufacturing operations, chemical manufacturing
Ten or more years in a discipline related to plant operations
Five to ten years of previous management experience required (Resources & Budgets)
Track record in leading routine and transformative continuous improvement projects that contribute to the business
Experience manufacturing principles
Experience with regulatory impacts and risks and ensures daily and long-term operations meet all regulatory commitments and needs,
In-depth knowledge of advanced manufacturing principles including lean manufacturing
Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices, and the analysis of financial data.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
In-depth focus on motivating and developing others
Engage customers and is keenly aware of customer specific needs and challenges.
Manage a large budget and deliver ongoing financial improvements without sacrificing safety and quality
Effectively delegation down and laterally throughout the organization
Experience developing team members and all levels
