Summary – basic function of the role We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team on a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on/4 weeks off, based in Algeria. In this role, you will oversee the execution of operational activities within the assigned region, ensuring the reliable delivery of rental equipment, manpower services, and Hydratight products. You will leverage regional office support and collaborate with Hydratight facilities globally to achieve operational excellence while maintaining strict compliance with Hydratight’s policies, particularly regarding safety and operational delivery. Your responsibilities will include managing the region's operational facilities, aligning their capabilities with business opportunities and revenue growth targets. While the focus is operational, the role also demands strong customer engagement, building and maintaining relationships with key clients. Additionally, you will drive initiatives to support revenue growth, implement global business standards and practices across all locations, optimize asset and personnel utilization in coordination with other regions, and work closely with the Commercial Leader to support sales efforts and develop long-term operational strategies. Job Duties and Responsibilities General Management: Embed safety, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement as core organizational values. Establish and monitor KPIs to track service operation performance. Build long-term relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, engineers, contractors, and field personnel, to drive business growth and regional presence. HSSE and Quality: Foster a culture of proactive safety and quality incident reporting for continuous improvement. Ensure service center compliance with ISO9001 standards, including prompt closure of corrective actions. Use Actuant LEAD tools and visual management systems (e.g., cadence boards, A3 KPI displays) to drive and communicate progress. Operations Management: Develop infrastructure (facilities, personnel, services) to meet current and future business needs. Analyze market demand to shape operational strategies. Lead service teams to deliver results aligned with forecasts and annual plans. Ensure teams understand customer requirements, safety protocols, and work scopes. Plan and manage manpower, asset availability, and FSE training to meet forecasted needs. Justify and optimize resource utilization to meet regional and EMEAI targets. Submit and manage asset requests as needed. Customer Service: Support sales with professional technical quotations. Build strong relationships with key customers through visits and presentations. Ensure accurate, timely service delivery and documentation to support prompt invoicing and payments. Collaborate with the ME Operations Manager to resolve issues and improve performance. Uphold HSSEQ regulations and represent the company professionally, prioritizing health and safety. Education and Experience Extensive track record in a similar managerial role, with demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, remote teams effectively. Recognized engineering qualification. Excellent oral and written communication abilities, essential for working in diverse, multicultural environments. Solid understanding of cost control and business operations. Proficient in Oracle or similar ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly for data management, analysis, and presentations. Experience working in multicultural environments and the flexibility to travel regionally without restrictions.
