Highest level position at the distribution center supervising all activities including planning, directing, and coordinating the ordering and distribution of products, parts, and accessories, budgeting, manpower, maintenance of facilities, and overseeing subordinate managers or supervisors.PURPOSE:
Manage, control, and monitor processes and workflows at the distribution site.Partner with Warehouse Manager to oversee and train staff engaged in all warehouse activities to include receiving, stocking, processing, inventory control, returns, shipping, safety, and loss prevention. Prepare reports, summaries, and analyses on operations as well as communicate regularly with appropriate management.Engage in cost analysis of warehouse operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure Departmental compliance with safety policies and procedures.Responsible for temporary staff recruiting, including point of contact for staffing partners.Partners with Human Resources with new hire recruiting, onboarding new hires, evaluations, and all employee business practices.Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, and quality to ensure proper inventory.Responsible for supplies and services required for the operations. POC for all vendors.Oversee compliance of practices and maintain an orderly, safe warehouse.Recommend new or improved methods, techniques, and procedures for various warehouse processes.Interact with Customers when necessary.Develop and maintain a good working relationship and open lines of communication with all departments to ensure Department, Company, and Customer goals are achieved.Responsible for day-to-day operations, to include:Create and foster a team atmosphere.Ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions in the facility.Complete performance evaluations of distribution center personnel and provide clear and concise feedback.Establish and maintain good rapport throughout the facility.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.7-10 years of warehouse experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend a large majority of time walking, standing, and using hands to push/pull. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is required to independently lift and /or move up to 20 to 50 pounds regularly and part of a two-person team up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The employee may be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
