Operations Manager

Summit Search Group is seeking a motivated Operations Manager to join our client’s team. The Operations Manager will be overseeing and optimizing operations, including fleet management, compliance, and budget oversight in their region. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals and fosters operational efficiency. You will oversee direct reports that include an operations lead, a logistics coordinator, a site operator, 2 safety coordinators and 4-5 drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet and Operator Performance Management

Ensure fleet management reports are updated monthly, accurately tracking performance metrics. Manage and oversee fleet technology and tracking systems to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency. Provide leadership and performance management for operators and operations staff, driving continuous improvement.

Oversee Capital and Operational Budget

Oversee the capital and operational budget for fleet and facilities, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals. Provide accurate forecasting and proactively manage fleet-related expenses to maximize profitability.

Fleet Utilization, Optimization, and Management

Monitor and optimize fleet utilization to ensure operational efficiency and cost control. Implement best practices and technologies for fleet management

Operational Planning and Alignment

Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies aligned with corporate growth goals. Ensure SOP’s are updated and followed by all.

Operational Compliance

Ensure operations are conducted safely and comply with all relevant legislation and regulations. Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance across team.

Tailgate Chair Responsibilities

Facilitate tailgate meetings, ensuring all operational incidents and issues are escalated and reported to Leadership Level 10 (L10). Follow up on operational challenges to ensure timely resolutions.

LMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability)

Provide leadership to the operations team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and core values. Hold team members accountable for their responsibilities while fostering a high performance culture.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 5 -8 years of experience in operations, logistics, 2-3 of these years in a management role. Education: Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Leadership and team management abilities. Financial budgeting and forecasting. Familiarity with fleet management systems and technologies. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
