Operations Manager

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager (m/f/d) to join our location in Dorsten.

  

As an Operations Manager (m/f/d), you will oversee the seamless execution of daily operations and contribute to the growth of our site. You'll manage a state-of-the-art, automated warehouse spanning 70,000 square meters, with approximately 250 employees, though we have plans to more than double the number. There is ample opportunity for implementing organizational improvements and sharing your ideas and vision. As an experienced leader, you'll play a crucial role in fostering strong customer relationships and effective people management—embodying the principle: happy people, happy customers.

 

What does your day look like in the role of our Operations Manager:

Planning and management of day-to-day operations in inbound and outbound logistics Cost and revenue responsibility Employee- and device-management including personnel planning with shift leaders based on volume data of the customer Control for a team of up to 250 employees ( up to 500-600 in the future) Direct communication with internal and external customers, also at management level  Monitoring and, if necessary, initiating countermeasures with regard to compliance with SLA specifications  Continuous monitoring of relevant KPIs and proposed solutions for countermeasures as required  Continuous process improvement 

 

What do you need to be successful:

Strong background in the logistics/supply chain sector Very good knowledge of logistics processes  and proven professional experience in the management of larger teams   Experience with startup organizations is a plus Knowledge of common WMS systems  Very good MS Office user skills, especially Excel  Fluent level of both German and English is mandatory Flexibility and resilience, very good communication skills
