The Division designs, develops, manufactures, and markets capital equipment primarily used in the assembly process of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and other industrial applications. For more information visit www.itweae.com **Position Summary** The Operations Manager will be a key member of the Despatch leadership team. This role will have oversight for the full portfolio of operations responsibilities including production, quality, manufacturing engineering, and site safety. In addition, this position plays a key role in helping to define the overall strategy for the business, evaluating its current manufacturing processes and implementing improvements consistent with ITW business model. The Operations Manager will effectively leverage resources and motivate a team of 35+ production employees to achieve operational performance metrics, ensuring safety, sales, gross margin, quality, inventory, annual budgets, and on-time delivery goals are met. **Responsibilities** **Operational Management:** + Plan, direct, and oversee the company's operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. + Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s objectives. + Monitor and analyze the performance of various departments to ensure operational efficiency. + Optimize operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs. + Collaborate with the Despatch Engineering team to ensure a seamless execution of sustaining and R&D initiatives. **Team Leadership:** + Build, lead and grow a high-performing team; ensure development of capabilities in the team to ensure optimal staffing and utilization of people and their development. + Ensure that team members have the resources and training needed to achieve their objectives. **Budget and Resource Management:** + Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation. + Monitor expenses and identify areas for cost savings without compromising service quality. + Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of resources. **Process Improvement:** + Continuously evaluate operational processes and identify areas for improvement. + Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency. + Lead initiatives to streamline operations and eliminate bottlenecks. **Compliance and Risk Management:** + Ensure that all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. + Identify potential risks in operations and develop mitigation strategies. + Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular audits. + Ensure product quality and specification are consistent **Reporting and Analysis:** + Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management. + Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and provide insights into operational efficiency. + Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as necessary. **Education, Experience & Skills Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. + Eight (8) years of manufacturing experience with a strong lean manufacturing background. including five (5) years’ experience in an operations leadership position. + Effective leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvement. + Must be strategic and creative but also demonstrate strong execution and operational capabilities. + Ability to effectively integrate new solutions into the operation and drive change. + Experience in leading production capacity planning. + Demonstrated track record of improving efficiency and product quality across the value chain in past assignments. + Ability to assess talent and give clear, motivating, and constructive feedback.
