Job Description Operations Manager - Offshore Wind Sector (Remote)
A leading company in the offshore windfarm sector is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a fleet of crew transfer vessels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a Master, preferably on offshore vessels. Ashore experience in operations or as a marine superintendent. Strong understanding of ISO and ISM standards. Client-facing experience. Key Responsibilities:
Crew Management: Recruitment, scheduling, and training of vessel crew. Monitoring crew performance and conducting appraisals. Building strong relations with crew aboard vessels. Compliance & Safety: Ensuring vessels operate in compliance with regulations. Promoting a safety culture. Leading incident investigations and conducting vessel inspections. Client Relations: Acting as the primary contact for clients on operational issues. Hosting meetings and delivering monthly vessel statistics. Technical Coordination: Liaising with clients during technical issues. Overseeing defect resolution and maintenance planning. Collaborating on repairs and dry dockings. Operational Efficiency: Controlling vessel costs and optimizing resource allocation. Ensuring adherence to travel policies and crew welfare standards. Overseeing vessel stock and parts purchasing. Duty Person Ashore (DPA): Conducting weekend DPA duties as part of a roster.
